We are best known for fighting blindness – it’s part of our history as well as our work today. But we also perform volunteer work for many different kinds of community projects – including caring for the environment, feeding the hungry and aiding seniors and the disabled.
We offer support groups for seniors with low-vision to discuss ways to continue living a full life, and provide services for individuals with short & long term disabilities.
To promote and stabilize positive human growth through respect, responsibility, trust, caring, and community. Collaborative partnerships are pursued to provide education and promote self-sufficiency.
We serve as a “hub” for services and resources that sustain a strong, vibrant, healthy community on the rural plains. We serve the residents of: Calhan, Peyton, Ramah, Simla, Falcon, Matheson, Ellicott, Rush, Yoder, Edison, Hanover, Elbert, Elizabeth, and Kiowa.
