Promoting Self-Sufficiency

Our mission is to increase the capacity of low-income individuals and families to be self-sufficient. Since 1964, REACH Pikes Peak, previously Pikes Peak Community Action Agency (PPCAA), has provided services to improve the lives of low-income individuals and families in the Pikes Peak region.

Our efforts break the cycle of poverty with programs that help stabilize families and provide tools that give individuals the hope and skills they need to succeed and become independent and contributing citizens.

REACH Pikes Peak has four essential programs designed to help low-income individuals and families transition from poverty to permanent self-sufficiency:

  • Family Stabilization Services
  • Transitions to Independence Program
  • Individual Development Account Program
  • Youth Education Savings Program

We serve all of El Paso County with three neighborhood centers including Calhan and the surrounding area. Emergency needs such as rent, utilities, prescriptions and other tangible needs are addressed. Referrals and information for other needs are also available.

Calhan hours are 9 - 5 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

We share space with Eastern Plains Community Pantry.
