The Town is excited to announce that we received a grant from the Colorado State Historical Fund. This grant will pay for a structural assessment of the Calhan Rock Island Railroad Depot. This means we will get an assessment of the condition of the depot, what needs to be done to restore it and estimates of the costs. We are very happy to start this ﬁrst step in the possible restoration of one of the last railroad depots still sitting in their original spot.Reminder

The Town of Calhan will be hosting a public meeting at Calhan School Cafeteria on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 7:00pm. This meeting will be to discuss water and sewer rates for residents and businesses in Calhan. Everyone is invited.

At the Special Meeting on May 27, 2014, the Calhan Board of Trustees selected JP Concrete as the contractor for the Fountain Street Paving Project.
JP Concrete has previously handled the 8th Street and US 24 sidewalk projects, and the repaving of Pueblo Street. The Board found their prior work and responsiveness acceptable, and their bid for Fountain Street well within biding guidelines.
